Our standard olive oil tour & tasting explores the olive history in Crete, olive varieties on the island, olive cultivation and harvesting practices and all the steps needed to create a high quality extra virgin olive oil. Visitors are guided through our olive mill where they can see and learn about two different ways to produce olive oil: stone milled & cold pressed and modern cold extraction. Our guests are then accompanied to the tasting room where they will see a short film that shows how the production happens in the winter. Finally a guided tasting of four awarded olive oils by glass: Biolea Stone Milled & Cold Pressed Koroneiki variety, PAMAKO high phenolic mountain Extra Virgin Tsounati variety, Lemoni Flavored Olive Oil & Nerantzi bitter orange flavored olive oil.
Tours are by appointment only available Monday – Sunday 10:00 – 17:00.
