About us

Who we are:

Today, the 5th and 6th generation of the Dimitriadis family are “hands on” producers.  Chloe Dimitriadis, producer – harvest and mill director with husband Michalis Papadakis chef and restaurant director are now the co-owners of Biolea. Their goal is to create high quality olive oil in innovative and sustainable ways and to create one of the most unique gastronomic experiences based on experimental Cretan cuisine and olive oil.

With over thirty years of research and experimentation, starting from the company’s founder Yiorgos Dimitriads, BIOLEA has developed a unique production method, which combines the artisanal stone mill and hydraulic press with new innovations and stainless-steel pressing filters, creating an olive oil intense in aromas and flavors and high in polyphenols. Our products are exclusively estate-produced and bottled.

 

BIOLEA’s facilities are open to visitors and offer tours and experiences which aim to spread awareness about production of high quality extra virgin olive oil, experiencing and tasting olive oil as well as highlighting olive oil through culinary creativity.
